San Juan is a coastal municipality in the island province of Siquijor.

The municipality has a land area of 44.37 square kilometers or 17.13 square miles which constitutes 13.15% of Siquijor's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 14,854. This represented 15.48% of the total population of Siquijor province, or 0.20% of the overall population of the Central Visayas region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 335 inhabitants per square kilometer or 867 inhabitants per square mile.

Demographics

According to the 2015 Census, the age group with the highest population in San Juan is 10 to 14, with 1,381 individuals. Conversely, the age group with the lowest population is Under 1, with 238 individuals.

Combining age groups together, those aged 14 and below, consisting of the the young dependent population which include infants/babies, children and young adolescents/teenagers, make up an aggregate of 26.94% (4,001). Those aged 15 up to 64, roughly, the economically active population and actual or potential members of the work force, constitute a total of 63.32% (9,405). Finally, old dependent population consisting of the senior citizens, those aged 65 and over, total 9.75% (1,448) in all.
